DL2 Datalogger

Notice: Note on firmware version 2.2.0

Update from version 1.4.7 or higher to 2.2.1

Attention!

Data loss! When the firmware update from version 1.4.7 to version 2.x.x is carried out, all data logged in the DL2 and all configurations of the device will be deleted!

  • Store all data logged onto an SD card before running the update!
  • If necessary, print the DL2 configuration in order to be able to restore it! To do so, click the Print configuration button in the Configuration menu of the Web interface.

As all data logged in the DL2 and all configurations of the device will be deleted when the firmware update version 2.x.x is run, it will not be distributed over the automatic online update function. The update has to be run manually with an SD card!

Update

In order to run a firmware update over the SD card slot, proceed as follows:

  • Download the firmware and save it to your PC.
  • Extract the file

    Among the extracted files there is a folder called SDCARD.

  • Insert an SD card formatted with the FAT32 format into the PC.
  • Copy the contents of the SDCARD folder onto the first level of the SD card.

    There should then be a folder structure called RESOL/DL2 on the SD card, containing the firmware file.

  • Remove the SD card from the PC and insert it into the SD card slot of the DL2.
    The operating control LED starts flashing green.
    Logged data are copied onto the SD card.
    When the copying process is completed, the update is run.
Attention!

Update error through premature card removal! Only remove the SD card when the operating control LED is permanently green again!

Notice:
Please note: In the case of display problems when using the Web interface after updating your DL2 to the firmware version 2.x.x, empty the cache of your Internet browser.

Update from version 1.4.6 to 1.4.7

In order to run a firmware update over the SD card slot, proceed as follows:

  • Insert an SD card formatted with the FAT32 format into the PC.
  • Copy the RESOL.zip file onto the SD card.
  • Extract the RESOL.zip file on the SD card (the required folder structure /RESOL/DL2/ containing the firmware is created automatically).
  • Remove the SD card from the PC and insert it into the SD card slot of the DL2

    The update is being run, then the DL2 will automatically reboot. Please wait.

Attention!
Update error through premature card removal! Only remove the SD card when the operating control LED is permanently green again!
  • After a few minutes, find the DL2 by using the DeviceDiscoveryTool and configure it as if it were a new device.

DL3 Datalogger

In order to run a firmware update over the SD card slot, proceed as follows:

  • Download the firmware and save it to your PC.
  • Extract the file.

    Among the extracted files there is a folder called SDCARD.

  • Insert an SD card formatted with the FAT32 format into the PC
  • Copy the contents of the SDCARD folder onto the first level of the SD card. There should then be a folder.
    structure called RESOL/DL3 on the SD card, containing the firmware file.
  • Remove the SD card from the PC and insert it into the SD card slot of the DL3.

    The operating control LED starts flashing green.
    The message Do not remove SD card! appears.
  • Wait until the operating control LED is permanently green.
    The menu item Update appears.
    Select Update and confirm with Yes.

    The operating control LED starts flashing green and then red/green.

    The message Restarting device appears.

    When the firmware update is completed, the menu item Copy data appears.

DeltaSol® SL Solar controller

In order to run a firmware update over the MicroSD card slot, proceed as follows:

  • Create a folder named RESOL on the first level of the MicroSD memory card
  • Inside the RESOL folder, create a folder named SL
  • Click Firmware Download
  • Save the firmware-***.zip file on your computer
  • Right click on the firmware-***.zip file, select Extract to... in the contextual menu
  • Select the RESOL/SL folder on the MicroSD card as target directory
  • Insert the MicroSD memory card into the card slot of the DeltaSol® controller
  • The update dialogue appears

Attention!

Update error through premature cancellation! Do not switch off the device while the update is running.

An update to firmware version 3.xx is only possible with the 3.0.0 version.
Devices with firmware version 1.xx cannot be updated to version 2.xx.

  • Start the application attached (The application window opens)
  • Click the Aktualisieren button
  • Select the adapter from the list that appears

  • The IP and MAC addresses are automatically displayed in the corresponding input boxes. The Update button becomes active.
  • Disconnect the interface adapter from the mains (plug out the mains adapter!)
  • Open the adapter housing (see chap. 1 in the manual)
  • Press the reset button and keep it pressed (button position: see chap. 2 in the manual), reestablish the mains connection (plug in the mains adapter)
  • The front LED becomes permanently red.
  • Cease pressing the reset button
  • Wait a few seconds, until the front LED starts flashing quickly
  • Click the Update button

  • If the update has been successfully completed, the message Aktualisierung erfolgreich appears in the application window.
  • Click OK to acknowledge the message
  • Restart the interface adapter (disconnect from mains, wait a few seconds, then reconnect)

    If an error message appears or the front LED does not start fl ashing, restart the interface adapter and try again.

Update from 1.1.6 to 1.2.0

  • Download the firmware and save it to your PC.
  • Extract the file.

    The extracted folder contains the source code as well as a firmware.cbor file.

  • In the Configurationmain menu, select the General submenu.
    The firmware version used will be displayed in the Firmware version menu.
  • In the Firmware upload menu, click Select.
  • Select the firmware update file with the extension firmware.cbor and click open .
    The firmware file will upload.
  • In order to continue the update, click Firmware update. If you do not wish to update the firmware, click Discard.
  • If you have clicked on Firmware update, the firmware update window will open. In order to carry out the update, click Yes. If you do not wish to update the firmware, click No.

    After the update has been carried out, the device will restart.

VBus®/BACnet interface adapter

Update from 1.1.6 to 1.2.0

  • Download the firmware and save it to your PC.
  • Extract the file.

    The extracted folder contains the source code as well as a firmware.cbor file.

    The firmware version used will be displayed in the Firmware version menu.
  • In the Firmware upload menu, click Select.
  • Select the firmware update file with the extension firmware.cbor and click open .

  • Click Firmware Download
  • Save the firmware-***.zip file on your computer
  • Right click on the firmware-***.zip file, select Extract to... in the contextual menu
  • Select the RESOL/SLT folder on the MicroSD card as target directory
  • Insert the MicroSD memory card into the card slot of the DeltaSol® controller
  • The update dialogue appears

An update to firmware version 2.xx is only possible with the 2.0.0 version.
Devices with firmware version 1.xx cannot be updated to version 2.xx.

DeltaSol® MX System controller

Notice:
An update to version 2.xx is only possible with the 1.12 version. Older firmware versions have to be updated to version 1.12 first (version 1.12 is available for download below).

The version number of the firmware version currently installed on the controller can be read from the Status / Messages menu.


Attention!
The update cannot be reversed! After the update to firmware version 2.xx from version 1.12, a downgrade via the SD card will not be possible!

A downgrade can only be carried out by RESOL. For this purpose, the device has to be sent to us. The downgrade is not free of charge.


Attention!
Data loss! When the firmware version 1.12 is updated to 2.xx, all data logged in the DeltaSol® MX as well as the configuration of the device will be deleted!

After the conversion, the adjustments saved can be loaded.

Due to the vast changes, a changelog is not available for the firmware version 2.00. More information can be found in the manual. The changelog documents below contain the changes up to / beginning with version 2.00.

Here’s how it goes:

  • Create a folder named RESOL on the first level of the SD memory card
  • Click firmware download
  • Save the firmware-***.zip file on your computer
  • Right click on the firmware-***.zip file, select Extract to… in the contextual menu
  • Select the RESOL folder on the SD card as target directory
  • Insert the SD memory card into the card slot of the controller
  • The update dialogue appears

DeltaSol® BX Plus System controller

Notice:
An update to version 2.xx is only possible with the 1.10 version. Older firmware versions have to be updated to version 1.10 first (version 1.10 is available for download below).

The version number of the firmware version currently installed on the controller can be read from the Status / Messages menu.


Attention!
The update cannot be reversed! After the update to firmware version 2.xx from version 1.10, a downgrade via the SD card will not be possible!

A downgrade can only be carried out by RESOL. For this purpose, the device has to be sent to us. The downgrade is not free of charge.


Attention!
Data loss! When the firmware version 1.10 is updated to 2.xx, all data logged in the DeltaSol® BX Plus as well as the configuration of the device will be deleted! Store all adjustments onto an SD card before running the update! After the update, the adjustments have to be restored manually.

Due to the vast changes, a changelog is not available for the firmware version 2.05. More information can be found in the manual.
